José Antonio Alonso, director of the Instituto Complutense de Estudios Internacionales (ICEI) in Madrid, Spain. He has a PhD in economics and is professor of applied economics at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, and is also member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council's Committee for Development Policy and the Cooperation for Development Committee in Spain.
