Amy Pollard is a policy analyst on aid effectiveness at the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD), London, UK, and editor of the journal, Anthropology Matters. Her PhD was a social anthropological study of aid donors in Indonesia, describing their attempts to develop harmonized aid programmes on decentralization. It was completed at the University of Cambridge in 2009. Previously, she was a research officer at the Overseas Development Institute, London, focusing on the influence of research on policy processes. She has worked as a consultant to the UK Department for International Development (DFID), the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
