The African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) needs to strengthen itself politically while the European Union (EU) must be prepared to renew its partnership with ACP countries on equal terms, taking it beyond the donor-recipient relationship.
These are some of the opinions set forth in a Special Report on the future of the ACP-EU relationship just published by The Broker and an online discussion organized by the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM), culminating in a conference on the topic hosted by the Centre in Maastricht last week.
In the aftermath of the conference, The Broker continues the discussion here at this blog. You are invited to contribute. You can submit your comments below or send your contribution to moderator Maarten van den Berg.
