Micheline Goedhuys is a Research Fellow at UNU-MERIT, an institute of United Nations University and Maastricht University, based in Maastricht. Her research interests cover entrepreneurship, small business development, innovation and the performance of firms in developing countries, particularly Africa. She has published widely on these topics and has worked as a consultant for several international organizations, including the World Bank and the International Labour Organization (ILO). She has also served as a policy advisor to the Flemish Authorities. Micheline holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Leuven (K.U.Leuven), Belgium.
