Sarah Hearn is Associate Director and Senior Fellow at the New York University Center on International Cooperation (CIC), where she runs CIC’s global development program. Sarah’s research includes the post-2015 development agenda, peacebuilding and statebuilding, Somalia, the Sahel region, fragile states policy, the rising powers’ development policies and reform of the international development system. Previously, Sarah worked with the UK Department for International Development (DFID), the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the UN and NATO. Sarah has lived and worked in Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. She holds an MPhil from the University of Oxford. In 2012, she was awarded the OBE for services to development.
