Allister McGregor is Professor of Political Economy in the Department of Politics and an Associate Fellow of the Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute at the University of Sheffield, UK. He has written extensively on the concept and methodologies for understanding human wellbeing and operationalizing it for public policy and practice. He was Director of the ESRC funded Research Group on Wellbeing in Developing Countries (WeD) and was a lead author in and co-editor of ‘Wellbeing in Developing Countries.’ Cambridge University Press, 2007.
