Karina Ufert is a programme manager for SPARK Myanmar, focusing on private sector development and skill policies. She is a focal point for UNESCO Entrepreneurship in Education network in Myanmar. Previously Karina worked as a consultant for UNESCO on China-Africa University cooperation. In 2010-2012 she was acting as a Vice-Chairperson, and later as a Chairperson of the European Students’ Union, umbrella organization representing over 14 million of students in Europe. During her mandate at ESU, she was elected to the Bureau of the Educational Policies and Practices at the Council of Europe, lead the Mobility working group at the European Youth Forum and contributed to the revision of the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. Currently Karina is doing her Erasmus Mundus Masters course on Economic Policies at the Age of Globalisation (EPOG) with a focus on Economics of knowledge and innovation policies.
