Jacqueline Vrancken is an MSc student in International Development Studies – specialising in Disaster Studies – at Wageningen University. For her internship and thesis research she spent 7 months in South Sudan, where she implemented and evaluated small enterprise groups in pastoralist communities (internship) and researched the relations between returnees and stayees and how these affect their livelihoods (thesis research). She made the switch to the aid and development sector after obtaining a BBA in International Tourism Management and Consultancy at the NHTV University of Applied Sciences in Breda and a BSC in Tourism Business Management (with Distinction) at IFT in Macao (SAR), China.
