Welcoming Nicky Pouw as the new chair of the The Broker board and introducing three fresh faces as members of the board
The Broker is pleased to present Dr. Nicky Pouw as incoming chair for the board. Nicky Pouw, Associate Professor in Economics of Wellbeing at the Governance and Inclusive Development research programme (GID) of the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR), has been a board member for almost one year and will replace interim chairman Jaap Dijkstra. In addition to her role as a board member, Nicky Pouw has contributed to The Broker by sharing insights from her research projects on inclusive development, inequality, women’s empowerment and poverty alleviation. Nicky is currently leading several research projects that focus on inclusive economic theory and policies in global economic development in Sub-Saharan Africa and South-East Asia for the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and in collaboration with INCLUDE Knowledge Platform and NWO-WOTRO.
This month we also welcome Esther van Rijswijk and Ronald Smallenburg as new board members. Current board member Huub Jansen was appointed treasurer earlier this year. The new board and The Broker team will soon be gathering for a joint session on future strategies for the organization, a future we are very confident about. So let’s get ready for the next ten years of knowledge brokering!
