Civic movements are experiencing success in Spain. In Barcelona, Madrid and other Spanish cities, civil platforms are now governing. They are implementing radical reforms and organizing a ‘cities for change’ movement in Spain, and internationally, challenging national conservative governments. Lessons from Barcelona will be discussed by The Broker’s director Frans Bieckmann and other guests at the launch of his book ‘Podemos – New politics in Spain’ in Amsterdam on 22 June.
