Deep democracy

In early 2008 ten activists and intellectuals formed the Civic Driven Change (CDC) Initiative. Since then they have been speaking, thinking and writing about an alternative narrative to the dominant state- and market-focused models: civic driven change. In issue 10, The Broker summarized the CDC process and the ideas expressed in essays written by CDC Initiative members. Scholars, policymakers and activists from all over the world are invited to comment on the report.
