About Neubert Hanns-J.

Hanns-J. Neubert is President of the European Union of Science Journalists’ Associations, Strasbourg, France. He is also Chairman of the Board of German Science Writers. He generates his income as a freelance science journalist and author (German and English) and as a teacher and seminar organiser in international science journalism. He also works as a communications consultant to institutions and companies. Neubert serves the European Commission as an expert evaluator helping it decide whether to fund scientific project proposals or not.

Neubert has around 30 years experience in science journalism, mainly as a freelancer. He also worked as a press officer in the German federal ministry of education and research for 7 years in the 1990s His special interests are biology, biotechnology, chemistry, geo and climate sciences as well as more general issues such as education, science in society and participation.
