About della Porta Donatella
Donatella della Porta is professor of sociology in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. She has carried out research at Cornell University, USA, and at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung, Germany. She has coordinated various EU-funded research projects, and now directs the Democracy in Europe and the Mobilisation of Society (DEMOS) project.
