About Voorhoeve, Joris
Joris Voorhoeve is member of the Netherlands Council of State and professor of international organisations and international security studies at the Netherlands Defence Academy (NLDA) in Breda. He is a member of the Trilateral Commission, chair of Oxfam Novib and of the World Population Foundation, and former Minister of Defence. He is currently completing a study on the rule of law in post-conflict situations for the Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR).

With a new Global Peace Index countries can be ranked according to their ‘state of peace’. The GPi is intended to highlight the relationship between global peace and sustainability. The index, based on 24 indicators, provides measures of the extent to which a country is at peace internally and with other countries. Read more>>
