China and Africa


In general I found the article ‘How will the Beijing Consensus benefit Africa’ interesting and informative. However, I missed a reference to the rather important fact that China itself is a developing country with major social needs, which are of course profoundly affecting its policies towards Africa and other developing regions. I think that comparing such South–South relations to North–South relations is useful, but may require a different analytical ‘lens’.
