Caroline Metz
Caroline Metz is a PhD researcher at the University of Manchester (UK). She has a masters’ degree from Sciences Po Lille (France) and is a board member of the Critical Political Economy Research Network. She is interested in international political economy and, more specifically, has looked into the Euro debt crisis, the politics of debt, banking and financial markets, the politics of the EU and financial regulation, as well as the implications these have for the future of financialized capitalism and for citizens.
A genuinely democratic debate on the CMU cannot shy away from looking into what securitization really is about: making profit out of people’s debts.
