David Cheong
David Cheong is Trade and Employment Specialist at the International Labour Organization (ILO), where he conducts country-level research and organizes capacity-building activities on trade and employment in developing countries. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Professor of International Economics at the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University, and has consulted for the World Bank, USAID, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
International trade is a force of structural change and productive transformation and can therefore promote employment.
