Jan Rinzema
Jan Rinzema works as a senior policy officer for the Migration and Development Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. He holds a law degree and joined the Ministry in 1998. After a position at the Legal Affairs Department, he was posted at the Dutch Embassies in Rabat (Morocco) and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). He returned to the Hague in 2010, where he worked in the Department for Quality and Effectiveness and the Europe Department. His current responsibilities are in the field of migration management, and include awareness raising in countries of origin of irregular migration, migration data collection and analysis, knowledge management and learning, and the West-African region.
