Joost Herman is Professor in Globalisation Studies and Humanitarian Action, Director Humanitarian Action (NOHA), President International NOHA Association and Director Globalisation Studies Groningen Institute (GSG). Joost Herman studied international law and history at Leiden University, and defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Law, Human Rights Institute, Utrecht University, the Netherlands.
