Julia Leininger (PhD) is Head of the Department of Governance, Statehood, and Security and Africa co-coordinator at the German Development Institute/Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE). In her research and policy advice she focuses on African politics, conditions for political regime change and stabilization.
