Niels Nagelhus Schia
Dr. Niels Nagelhus Schia is an anthropologist at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs. His research focuses on international organizations, diplomacy, global governance, and peace operations. In this work Schia has been focusing specifically on the UN organization. Recent publications include: “Peacebuilding, ownership and sovereignty, from New York to Monrovia: A multi-sited ethnographic approach” (2015), “Status and sovereign equality: Small states in multilateral settings” (2015), “Being part of the parade – ‘Going native’ in the United Nations Security Council” (2013). He is also head of the scientific committee for the annual Fulbright Norway award.
