Tara Sabre Collier
Tara Sabre Collier is an impact investing specialist at GroFin Capital, one of Africa’s largest SME impact investment funds. She is global strategist and social entrepreneur, with 10 years of experience working with MSMEs and social enterprises in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Prior to GroFin, Ms. Collier earned her MBA at Oxford University as a Skoll Scholar in social entrepreneurship and strategy. Previously, she co-founded a MSME development firm that assisted over 2000 entrepreneurs in Brazil, Angola, Mozambique and Peru and worked for the World Bank and various NGOs in the USA, Jordan and Brazil. She earned her MPA in International Public/ Non-Profit Management & Policy from New York University and a BA in Spanish and International Affairs from Spelman College. She speaks Spanish, French and Portuguese.
Despite being the world’s second fastest-growing region, Africa’s challenge is translating this growth into broad-based improvements in well-being. SMEs development is key to change this.
