Malin Olofsson
Malin is a senior knowledge broker at The Broker. She is passionate about facilitating processes that ensure research contributes towards transformative policy development in the area of food, land and agriculture. She holds a PhD from the University of Amsterdam in the field of International Development, and a master’s degree from the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague, where she majored in Agricultural, Food and Environmental studies. Her research interests span the political economy and ecology of agrarian change in Africa. In addition to her research experience, she has extensive experience as a development practitioner in Africa, in the area of workers’ rights, smallholder farmer cooperative development, certification, value chains and small business development. At The Broker she hopes to integrate her research and practical experience to facilitate innovative ways of thinking and collaborating to accelerate collective actions towards building more just, sustainable, and healthy futures.
